After graduating from Suffolk University Law School in 1985, Marc Brofsky clerked for the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Following this clerkship, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office from 1986 through 1991. While in the District Attorney’s Office, he was in charge of the Norfolk County Drug Task Force where he oversaw all of the drug prosecutions in Norfolk County. He conducted numerous wiretap investigations which led to the successful prosecution of drug distributors in the Norfolk County area. He prosecuted cases in most of the District Courts in Norfolk County including Quincy, Stoughton, Brookline and Dedham, as well as in Norfolk Superior Court. He received extensive trial experience as an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County.
Marc Brofsky went in to private practice after leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 1991. His practice primarily focuses on the representation of criminal defendants as well as individuals engaged in divorce proceedings.
Marc Brofsky regularly appears in the District, Juvenile and Superior Courts of Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Plymouth, Worcester and Barnstable Counties.
Marc Brofsky has served as a board member and president of the Norfolk County Bar Advocates, an organization committed to providing legal services for indigent clients facing criminal prosecution.
